A Hyundai SUV With 1040 Horsepower: Check Out the Santa Fast

Bisimoto has a long history of conjuring up ridiculous creations: do you remember the 1000-horsepower Honda Odyssey at SEMA? That was Bisimoto. What about the cyan air-cooled Porsche 911 with 1000 horsepower? Also Bisimoto.

For this year's upcoming SEMA Show, the tuner partnered up with Hyundai. By using the efficient, yet not very sporty Santa Fe, they created a nothing less than a monster.

Named Santa Fast, the small SUV adopts a rear-wheel-drive layout. Why? Because the original front-drive, four-cylinder architecture was thrown away and replaced with a 3.8-litre V6 cranking out 1040 horsepower!

Shocking, right?

Thanks to a pair of turbochargers and a complete rework of the engine, the V6 now develops more than three times its original output. The transmission used comes from a Genesis coupe, while the rear differential has been pilfered from an Equus.

Wanna see the Santa Fast in the flesh? It will be shown at the SEMA Show on October 1-4 in Las Vegas.
