2020 Lincoln Corsair Teased Ahead of New York Auto Show
A year after introducing the Aviator midsize crossover at the New York Auto Show, Lincoln is ready to return to the Big Apple for yet another step in the transformation of its SUV/CUV lineup.
On April 17, the brand will launch the all-new 2020 Lincoln Corsair to replace the compact MKC as the smallest crossover in the lineup. The latter was refreshed for 2019 and proved to be a good product on its own, but after our test drive we came to the conclusion that potential buyers are better off with a German or Japanese competitor.

The Lincoln Corsair will retain the platform of the Ford Escape, which is also due for a complete redesign. Familiar powertrains and other components will be shared as well, but there could be a Lincoln-specific variant in the mix. Some sources claim the Corsair will feature a plug-in hybrid unit in addition to 2.0- and 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engines.
As for styling, the new model should look similar to the Aviator, from the stylish wheels to the floating-style roof that ends with a rear spoiler and everything in between, including a chrome plate with the vehicle’s name where the front fenders meet the base of the A-pillars. Speaking of which, chrome will likely be generously spread across the exterior and interior.
The Lincoln Co-Pilot360 suite of advanced driver-assist features and other cutting-edge technologies will be included in the Corsair, too.
