This Insane Toyota GR Supra Exceeds 2,000 Horsepower

Remember the 1,000-horsepower Toyota GR Supra developed by a Texas-based tuning company for the past SEMA Show in Las Vegas? Well, here’s one that’s twice as powerful!

The team at Kanoo Performance in Bahrain recently posted a video on its YouTube channel that shows the results of dyno tests performed on its own modified Supra.

Thanks to an outrageously sized turbocharger and several other upgrades under the custom-designed hood, they’ve managed to achieve an insane 2,033 horsepower and 1,303 pound-feet of torque.

And those are numbers at the rear wheels. We don’t know the exact output at the crank, but since there’s typically a loss of 10-15 percent, we’d be looking at about 2,300 horsepower.

Can you believe it? For those who may not be familiar with the 2020 Toyota GR Supra, the car rolls out of the factory with a turbocharged six-cylinder engine rated at 335 horsepower. In the case of the 2021 model, that will be 382 horsepower.

While EAG found a way to replace the eight-speed automatic transmission with a manual, Kanoo Performance instead opted for a PPG sequential gearbox and programmed it to handle the surreal number of ponies unleashed by the new engine.

In the video, you’ll see flames coming out of the tailpipes at some point. As for the sound, it’s… different.
