General Motors of Canada has just announced pricing and equipment details for the next-generation 2021 Cadillac Escalade, which is still on track to arrive at dealers this fall despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

The regular Escalade will start at $89,798, while the long-wheelbase Escalade ESV will retail from $93,298. Both represent an increase of $2,100 from the 2020 models.

The lineup now consists of five trim levels including Luxury, Premium Luxury, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport and Sport Platinum. Four wheel choices, nine paint colours and several interior trim combinations are available.

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade comes standard with a massive 38-inch digital interface (boasting twice the pixel density of a 4K TV), navigation with augmented reality, a 360-degree camera system and a 19-speaker premium sound unit from AKG.

The list of options includes a rear-seat entertainment system with 12.6-inch HD displays, a 36-speaker AKG stereo developed exclusively for Cadillac and the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving technology with automated lane changes.

Additionally, the suspension (now fully independent in the rear) can be enhanced with adaptive air shocks that adjust the ride height by up to 10 centimetres.

Under the hood, the 6.2-litre V8 engine returns with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. There’s a new alternative, however, namely a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder Duramax turbo-diesel rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Finally, we must absolutely talk about interior room. The trunk is now 68-percent larger and rear-seat legroom has increased 41 percent. And behold this number: 4,020 litres. That’s the maximum cargo space in the Escalade ESV when all the rear seats are folded.

If you’re interested in the 2021 Cadillac Escalade, you should know that you can order one right now by contacting a local dealer. The vehicle also appears in the Cadillac Live virtual showrooms, where shoppers can speak with a product specialist, open doors and explore every detail.
