Hennessey Mammoth 6x6 is a 1,200-hp Ram 1500 TRX

Barely two weeks after the reveal of a pickup so wicked and powerful Greta Thunberg is having nightmares, namely the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, Hennessey Performance is announcing a plan to build a highly modified version that will become its biggest, most powerful, most exclusive and most expensive truck in 29 years of existence.

Fellas, meet the Hennessey Mammoth 6x6!

If the TRX can eat a bunch of Ford F-150 Raptors for breakfast with a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 engine that produces 702 horsepower, imagine what this mastodon could do. The Texas-based tuner intends to replace the Hellcat engine with a revised and recalibrated version of Dodge’s 7.0-litre Hellephant crate engine.

Output will be increased to a whopping 1,200 horsepower which, as you can see on the picture above, will be distributed among not two but three axles.

Wait, there’s more. The Mammoth 6x6 will receive a fully upgraded off-road suspension, a bespoke interior and cargo bed, upgraded front and rear bumpers with more powerful LED lights, plus angry-elephant graphics on the sides that are sure to confuse a whole lot of people (though Dodge and Ram enthusiasts will be pleased).

“We are very excited about the Ram TRX,” said company founder and CEO, John Hennessey. “Mammoth 6X6 powered by a 1,200-horsepower Hellephant motor is just a completely ridiculous idea, which is exactly why we are doing this.”

Only three units will be built and the company will accept orders from September 4 at noon local time. The price is set at $500,000 USD (approximately $654,000 CAD) including the donor truck.
