Polestar O2 Concept Will Go Into Production as Polestar 6
Polestar has confirmed plans to put the O2 electric roadster concept - revealed last March - into production. And this one will be dubbed the Polestar 6. "With the marked response from consumers and the press, we have made the decision to put this beautiful roadster into production. I'm thrilled to make it a reality," said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar.
The hardtop convertible will be built on a custom bonded aluminum platform. It will feature an 800-volt electric architecture – a critical component that has already been confirmed for the Polestar 5 high-performance electric coupe.

To celebrate the launch, Polestar will release 500 examples of a launch model called the "LA Concept Edition". It will feature a sky blue body and the same 21-inch wheels from the O2 concept. Further technical details and specifications will be released as the production car takes shape, leading up to the planned launch in 2026.
