Bell Tolls for Jaguar F-Type, Special Edition Announced
Originally introduced for 2014, the Jaguar F-Type is one of the sexiest cars on the road right now. Sadly, it will be gone after the 2024 model year, but not before the company launches a special edition that celebrates 75 years of Jaguar sports cars dating back to the XK120 from 1948.
The new F-Type 75 and F-Type R 75 sport unique touches including discreet badges on the front fenders which depict the coupe’s unmistakable silhouette, model-specific 20-inch wheels in gloss black finish along with quad exhaust tips.

The cabin features the Interior Black Pack complete with a suede headliner. The same silhouette motif can be found on the door sill plates and centre console, while Performance seats provide maximum support.
Jaguar engineers did not miss the opportunity to tweak the chassis. Rear knuckles made from light, stiff aluminum die castings, together with larger wheel bearings, are said to deliver absolute precision control of the tire contact patch, translating to an even more connected steering feel. An electronic active rear differential is included, too.
The F-Type R 75 naturally gets the widest and most aggressive tires available, namely Pirelli P Zero units in a size of 265/35ZR20 up front and 305/30ZR20 in the rear. It can also be specified with Jaguar’s Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) braking system featuring six- and four-piston monoblock callipers with a distinctive yellow finish.
Unsurprisingly, the special edition is motivated by Jaguar’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, producing 444 horsepower in the F-Type 75 (RWD or AWD) and 567 horsepower in the F-Type R 75 (AWD only). A switchable active exhaust system helps deliver this Jaguar’s signature sound.
Availability and details for North America, where the four- and six-cylinder engine options are no longer offered with the F-Type, have yet to be announced. In Canada, the 2023 lineup starts at $89,850 for a base P450 coupe with RWD.
In case you forgot, Jaguar is about to undergo a radical transformation, becoming an EV-only brand by 2025. Looking at the current portfolio, only the I-PACE crossover fits that bill.
