Hyundai Refreshes Sporty Elantra N for 2024
Following our first look at the 2024 Elantra’s mid-cycle update earlier this year, Hyundai is now showing the high-performance 2024 Elantra N a.k.a. Avante N in South Korea.
Similar to the regular Elantra, the main differences can be found at both ends of the car. Up front, the redesigned air intakes give it a more serious look, while the slimmer headlights add a somewhat futuristic touch. As you can see, the Hyundai logo is now black.

Revised 19-inch wheels highlight the sides, including a design that sort of emulates the telephone dial rims Alfa Romeo is famous for. In the rear, the Elantra N’s unique treatment evolves with a new lower bumper and diffuser that emphasize the car’s wide stance. The thin red accent trim around the lower body is a bit different, too.
Hyundai has not released pictures of the interior or provided specs. In all likelihood, the Elantra N will retain its turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, which generates up to 286 horsepower and 289 lb-ft. of torque.
Hopefully the six-speed manual transmission will stay, as well. On the other hand, it’s not impossible that a conventional eight-speed automatic transmission replaces the eight-speed dual-clutch unit, the latter having experienced a few troubles and forced Hyundai to announce a recall last fall.
More details about the 2024 Elantra N, including the Canadian-spec model, are expected to come in the next few months. We’ll keep you posted.
