2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally is Ready to Hit the Dirt
We’ve known it was coming since Ford made the announcement at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K. earlier this summer, but today we have more details and pictures of the new, rally-inspired 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally.
"Just a year ago, this was merely an idea, and what you see today is a testament to the passion and intense creativity of our Model e team," said Donna Dickson, chief engineer for the Mustang Mach-E. "We have always explored new areas of performance, and the combination of a rally-tuned suspension, dual motor electric powertrain, and wicked styling makes the Mustang Mach-E Rally a different kind of performance vehicle that will excite customers chasing their next adventure.”

The Mustang Mach-E Rally boasts a tuned version of the Mach-E GT Performance powertrain. Output is the same at 480 horsepower, but peak torque is increased to 650 lb-ft. The 98.8kWh battery (net capacity: 91 kWh) obviously loses a bit of range, dropping from 418 km to 405 km.
The main changes to the electric crossover include a unique suspension that has been raised 20 mm and is equipped with specially tuned springs, MagneRide shocks and 385mm front brake discs with red-painted Brembo calipers. You can’t really see the latter because they’re hidden behind rally-style, 19-inch alloy wheels in a gloss white finish. Michelin CrossClimate2 tires (235/55 R19) provide more sidewall and loose surface grip.
Of course, in order to prevent damage to the underbody in off-road driving, engineers have installed protective shielding for the front and rear motors. There’s also protective film on the door cladding and fender arches to help reduce paint chips, plus available dealer-installed styled mud flaps to reduce debris spray. A recovery point is built into the front end in case drivers find themselves in a bad spot and need help to get out.
Inside, there are gloss white accents on the dash, the lower spokes of the steering wheel and contrasting stitching on the doors. Drivers will strap into distinctive Ford-designed performance seats that feature gloss white seatbacks and “Mach-E Rally” debossed into the seating surface. Not only that, but they will find the first-ever RallySport drive mode from Ford, which enables bigger slides, delivers linear throttle response for better control, and comes with more aggressive damping for better handling in loose corners.
What else? Well, you can’t miss the giant rear spoiler inspired by that of the late Focus RS. Other goodies include a unique front splitter and contrasting accents, rally-inspired fog lights, black-painted steel roof and two racing stripes. By the way, if you don’t like the eye-popping Grabber Yellow colour for the body, there are several alternatives such as Grabber Blue, Shadow Black, Eruption Green, Star White and new Glacier Gray.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally will be available to purchase in early 2024 and deliveries will begin shortly afterward. Pricing has yet to be announced, but remember that the GT Performance currently retails from $82,995.
