Electric Jeep Wagoneer S to Go on Sale in Quebec, B.C. This Fall

The Jeep Wagoneer will soon be getting a fully electric sibling. Initially announced as a concept in September 2022, the Wagoneer S was supposed to debut in 2023 and begin pre-orders at the same time, but delays have made that impossible.

On Thursday, the company released a first picture of the production model ahead of an official introduction that is most likely just weeks away. It also confirmed that the vehicle will be sold initially in Quebec and British Columbia starting this fall, followed by other provinces and key markets around the world.

The great news is that styling will be essentially identical to the concept, which you can find in the photo gallery at the top of the page. This includes the wild interpretation of the classic seven-slot grille with unique LED lighting, as well as sleek and aerodynamic lines.

The interior promises to be loaded with technology and high-quality craftmanship. With regard to performance, Jeep is reiterating the numbers it already pitched out there—600 horsepower and 0-100 km/h sprints in about 3.5 seconds. Maximum range should be in excess of 600 km.

Just to be clear, the battery-powered Jeep Wagoneer S shares very little with the gas-burning Wagoneer. It will rival the likes of the Audi Q8 e-tron, Cadillac Lyriq/Escalade IQ, Tesla Model X, VinFast VF 9, Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV and Rivian R1S. Pricing could easily top six figures.

For a cheaper alternative, Jeep will offer the Recon, which is more akin to the Wrangler. Remember, all Jeep products will be electrified in some way by the end of 2025.
