Ford EV Drivers Can Now Charge on Tesla Superchargers in Canada, U.S.
Following last year’s deal between Ford and Tesla, people who buy or lease a Ford F-150 Lightning or Mustang Mach-E as well as existing customers can now order an adapter that will give them access to more than 15,300 Tesla Superchargers in Canada and the U.S. using the North American Charging Standard (NACS).
This is a first for a non-Tesla automaker, and a new option that will more than double the number of DC fast chargers accessible via Ford’s BlueOval charging network.

The NACS adapter is available at no cost to new and existing customers enrolled in the BlueOval charging network through June 30, 2024. You can order yours online through Ford Canada’s website by connecting to your FordPass account. The cost of the adapter past June 30 has not been specified yet.
Today’s announcement applies to retail customers only. Ford says that commercial customers will be contacted this spring by mail at the address registered with Ford Pro or via their Ford Pro account manager to order an adapter.
Similar to the fast chargers that are part of the BlueOval network, locating a Supercharger and paying for a charging session can be done though either the FordPass mobile app or the Charge Assist app in the vehicle’s touchscreen.
In the future, the adapter will no longer be necessary with Ford’s (and Lincoln’s) next-generation electric vehicles because they will have the NACS connector built-in.
