Watch: Travis Pastrana Shreds Australia in Latest Gymkhana Video

The latest installment in the Gymkhana series, called "Aussie Shred" and produced in collaboration with Subaru Motorsports USA, has just been released online and seems to push the limits once again, if that's even possible.

As the title suggests, the action takes place in Australia, where driver Travis Pastrana is having a blast behind the wheel of his "Brataroo 9500 Turbo," a radically modified 1978 Subaru Brat pickup developed by Vermont SportsCar. Unveiled at this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the machine boasts a staggering 670 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque.

No need to keep you waiting any longer, here is the spectacular video which lasts almost 11 minutes:

As you can see, the wild beauty of the Australian landscapes adds a new dimension to Pastrana's masterful drifting manoeuvres, jumps and stunts, from his crazy descent down the track at Mount Panorama against several race cars to an incredible slide on the edge of a Sydney pier, not to mention the longest and highest jump in Gymkhana history—over a semi-trailer truck, to boot.

The sequence where Pastrana performs a series of donuts around someone dressed as a kangaroo riding a Segway—a nod to the very first Gymkhana film—might be a perfect illustration of the meeting between American and Australian cultures.

And what about when he takes on a large river by hydroplaning all the way across the water? Completely insane! In fact, the end credits show that others have tried the same stunt but failed.

What comes next—if there is a next time—is difficult to imagine, especially since Hoonigan co-founder and Gymkhana series director Brian Scotto has confirmed that "Aussie Shred" marked Travis Pastrana's final appearance. Fear not, we will undoubtedly see him again in other projects and on other tracks.
