The 10 Best Engines and Motors of 2022 According to Wards Auto
Wards Auto is back with its list of the 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems for 2022. This is a trusted source in the industry, so we wanted to share the results with you once again.
As a reminder, the judges looked at powertrains that are all-new or significantly improved. They also included those that made the ranking last year. Obviously, a number of fantastic powertrains were left out in the process.

For 2022, five all-electric systems, two hybrids and only three internal combustion engines landed in the top 10. Scoring is based on horsepower, torque, NVH management, observed efficiency and new technology onboard.
