2014 Shelby GT500 Super Snake Now Available

Those of you looking to extract the maximum amount of performance from their Ford will be happy to hear that the Super Snake tuning package for the 2014 Shelby GT500 is now available.

Two versions are available: The first one adds some aesthetic mods, a Shelby cooling kit, front and rear Wilwood brakes, 20 inch wheels shod in sticky tires, a more aggressive exhaust, suspension parts to help the car's handling and a short-throw shift kit. All this can be yours for US $28,995.

But if you want to go really, really fast, you will have to spend US $11,000 more, as this gives you a 3.6L Kenne Bell supercharger that boosts engine output to 850 horsepower.

Considering that the GT500 Super Snake will be the most powerful solid-axle Mustang ever sold, this car may very well be a long-term investment. Even better, Shelby only plans on making 500 of these kits, thus increasing their potential rarity. And finally, it is important to note that the Super Snake was the last vehicle personally approved by Shelby himself.
