New Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design is the Cherry on Top
Porsche is a sports car manufacturer with plenty of tradition that lives on through a number of special editions. The latest example is the new 2021 Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design, the first of four collector's models from the brand’s Heritage Design strategy.
Crafted by the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur studio, this exclusive 911 combines classic design elements from the 1950s and early 1960s with state-of-the-art technology.

The magnificent Cherry Metallic paint you see here is one of five available exterior colours. Each one comes with a Targa bar in contrasting finish, gold logos and white livery with a historical design. For instance, the spear-shaped graphics on the front fenders recall the early days of Porsche motorsports.
Another interesting detail is the Porsche Heritage badge on the engine lid grill in the rear, which is reminiscent of the one that was awarded back in the day when a Porsche 356 reached 100,000 kilometres. Further highlights include 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Carrera Exclusive Design wheels and classic-style brake calipers in a black finish.
The leather-clad interior of the Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design sports an exclusive two-tone look in Bordeaux Red/Atacama Beige or Black/Atacama Beige. The seats and door panels feature corduroy inserts, a material also found in the Porsche 356. This is complemented by a classic-style rev counter and stopwatch with green illumination, as well as a metal badge on the trim panel of the dashboard denoting the individual limited-edition number.
The engine is obviously the same that powers the recently announced 911 Targa 4S, namely a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre flat-six producing 443 horsepower. Mated to Porsche’s excellent eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, it can go from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds (with Launch Control) and reach a top speed of 304 km/h.
The 2021 Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design is available to order now starting at $205,900. Deliveries will begin this fall. Hurry because production is limited to 992 units, matching the codename for the latest-generation 911.
