The reputable magazine has just published its latest annual auto reliability rankings, which reflect predicted reliability based on comprehensive vehicle testing and owner surveys that address 17 trouble areas, including engine, transmission, in-car electronics and more. A score is calculated on a 0-to-100-point scale.

For 2023, Toyota (72), Lexus (72), BMW (65), Mazda (65), Honda (62), Audi (60), Subaru (59), Acura (57), Kia (54), Lincoln (54) and Buick (54) make up the top 10 brands. However, Consumer Reports has insufficient data or the manufacturer has too few models for them to rank Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Maserati, MINI, Mitsubishi, Polestar, Porsche and Rivian.
