The Solterra crossover is largely similar to the Toyota bZ4X, but because it’s a Subaru, it naturally comes standard with all-wheel drive. The two electric motors combine to generate 215 horsepower, drawing energy from a 72.8kWh battery. Maximum range is rated at 360 km, which is far from segment-leading. Subaru engineers have also limited fast-charging capability in order to increase battery longevity. Keep in mind that towing is not recommended with this particular EV.
Pros
- Multi-purpose vehicles
- Range seems greater than announced
- Good multimedia system
Cons
- No towing capacity
- Fast charging limited on several points
